Flowers, another love Patty & I share
We’ve had a nice soft rain most of the week — 3.52 inches so far, with more forecast every day through Thursday. By then I suspect we’ll be ready for a break. The garden and flowers are loving it though: temperatures in the high 70s to mid-80s °F, humidity in the 90s. With camera in hand, I walked the yard and shot Patty’s flowers and a few of mine. I love how rain droplets add to flower images. I hope you enjoy them — if so, please leave a comment on an individual image or at the bottom of the page.
I asked my AI partner Gemini to write a poem for me that would go along with my Flowers post, enjoy:
Beneath the morning’s golden ray,
The sleepy petals start to play.
They stretch and catch the silver dew,
A painted world of pink and blue.
A gentle whisper in the breeze,
They dance with effortless degrees.
In every hue and sweet perfume,
A little piece of magic bloom.
They ask for nothing but the sun,
And when the busy day is done,
They fold their skirts and softly sleep,
A quiet peace the meadows keep.
