Our Backyard Bird Feeders

Feathered Friends

Good morning, world! Last year, while birding Clower Thornton Park in Gulfport, MS, we ran into several other birder friends. Steve pointed out that Charlie was in the brush in a blind. With some effort, I was able to locate him in his one-person standup blind; very cool. Talking with Charlie later, I got some information about the blind, and ordered one to try out; Charlie said he had a bird perch on his.

We are very fortunate that our location is so conducive to attracting birds;  forest, open fields with native plants, and neighbors who enjoy and feed the wild birds.

We have an abundance of Cardinals in our backyard; several of you have pointed out that you do not have them where you live. We have a tendency to take them for granted, and I have to remind myself how lucky we are; they are so beautiful and stand out as bright as lipstick on a lovely face.

Adapt yourself to the things among which your lot has been cast and love sincerely the fellow creatures with whom destiny has ordained that you shall live.
