Good morning world.
A few mornings ago, Baby Girl, Rascal and I launched the Bird Barge at Biloxi Harbor around four-thirty in the morning; our purpose was to greet the sunrise. We headed out around the west end of Deer Island toward the shrimp boats. There were four of them working out there — one already headed in as we motored past. We went out four or five miles, the Gulf was flat, with a light breeze, and a full moon, one day off the partial eclipse. We had an hour wait while enjoying the moon and watching the Shrimpers.
Each sunrise is unique and special: Ranging from dramatic to hidden behind cloud cover — the more clouds, usually the more color, up to a point where it just closes off entirely. Others are quieter and more subtle. But every single one is magic.
