We broke the ice on Monday

Had the first radiation and have had two since, and six weeks in on the hormone therapy. The process is quick and smooth, takes about 35 minutes: 5 to 10 minutes of waiting, 5 minutes of being positioned and 12 minutes of imaging, and radiation. Dr Greenfield, Nurse Rhonda, and the Singing River Cancer Center Team are great. It is two hours from leaving my yard to returning.

I had my best heat flush Monday evening, about to freeze Patty out of the house. I feel like I have a rash or itch around the pelvis or groin area that won’t be found to itch, like it is there but not there(I know, that does not make sense); there is nothing visible and I suspect it is my imagination. They have warned that my symptoms, exhaustion, heat flushes, moods, and possible “sun burns” will steadily increase. We will see.

I met with Dr Greenfield following yesterday’s session for discussion then will meet every  Tuesday following the radiation session. With any luck, we only have 7 weeks to go, 37 more sessions!

I feel like a pin cushion, I had more blood drawn today to check, PSA, and Testosterone level, or lack there of!!

Stay tuned, thanks for all the support, prayers, humor, and especially the hugs!
