Back Yard Birdfeeders 2/1/26 Audubon Coastal Bird Count & Ocean Springs Inner Harbor 2/2/26

Bird Feeders –

We headed home, knowing there would be many birds at the feeders, motivated by the cold and the thawed-out water in their birdbath. I set up my one-person blind and photographed those below. Our lovely visitors were filling up for the cold night to come.

The next morning, Patty led the Audubon Coastal Bird Survey and saw a Golden Eye during their walk along East Beach. I was driving over the Ocean Springs Inner Harbor, saw another Golden Eye, and stopped to take the picture below. Isn’t it how it often works? We searched for weeks, then each saw a golden eye on the same day.

The same group, led by Ken, also conduct the Lake Mars count.
